Reusing clothing and wearing things until they can no longer be mended is the only true sustainable fashion. I purchased this shirt from a local op-shop, making sure it had no tears, stains or rips and still had some wears in it yet. After washing, this shirt has been hand-printed with an abstract Rockpool print and my ByTessPohlner logo using black fabric wash-safe ink, it is now ready for a second (or maybe third, or fourth) life. This is a grey marle cotton t-shirt, labelled size small (originally women’s size small). Original brand is not visible.
This is a pre-loved item of clothing, and is probably originally from a fast-fashion brand. It may not be a forever item, but it should certainly last a few more years with care. Fabric ink will hold fast in the wash, but will likely slowly fade overtime, meaning the appearance of the print and shirt will evolve. I recommend washing in cold water only to minimise fade.
